EYFS
At OTCA, our school curriculum is designed to bridge the gap between the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and the National Curriculum (NC). This is to ensure children’s experiences between nursery, reception and year one are effective. Our sequential EYFS curriculum has been carefully thought out to ensure that by the end of their EYFS journey, our children are year one ready.
Our EYFS learning environments are stimulating and well organised to promote imaginative play and provide children with purposeful activities across all areas of learning. We believe that the Early Years is a vital foundation in establishing a love of learning while providing a safe learning environment where learners boldly dare to take new challenges and risks with confidence. We further our children’s learning through structuring some aspects of our EYFS curriculum based on our children’s interests enabling children to enjoy exploring and developing their skills across all areas so that good level of development (GLD) is achieved.
